Week 22... I think

Life is crazy as ever right now, but I have been asked for an update. So that I will do, however, we have been so overwhelmed lately, I really don't know what week of pregnancy this is.

The good:

We had a great Christmas! Corbin got lots of cute little outfits, plus Brad got me our first photo album for the baby. I can't wait to fill it with proud mommy pictures!

Last night Brad got to feel the little guy move for the first time. Corbin had been moving like crazy all day, so I told Brad to press on my tummy, and sure enough he got to feel him moving all around. I love seeing that proud daddy look on his face. It reminded me of the first ultrasound when the picture of Corbin popped on the screen.

The not so good:

Brad's grandpa passed away the day after Christmas. We are sad that he has left us and his wonderful wife, but happy that he lived a full life and got to spend one last Christmas with his family.

On Monday night mom was admitted to the hospital due to MANY complications from a CT scan. She is still in the hospital and we are waiting for answers.

On Tuesday night Brad's dad was admitted to the hospital (a different one than my mom). He had to have an emergency surgery to remove his gall bladder. Brad was able to visit him last night after surgery. He seemed to be in good spirits, and will hopefully be sent home this weekend.

In the midst of work during the day and evenings at the hospitals, we are doing our best to plan the wedding and get everything done for that.

20 Weeks

Well, we are half way through the pregnancy. That's a pretty big milestone! For the most part everything has been going pretty smoothly. I still have days that I can't eat, and if I do then I am throwing it up. However, those days are getting farther and farther apart. Thank goodness! Brad was starting to stress because I was losing weight as opposed to gaining. :)

As most know, we had our ultrasound last week and found out we are having a boy. We are pretty thrilled about that!! We also got the results from our second set of genetics testing and they were great. The doctor explained that for someone "like me" the chances of a baby getting downs was about 1 in 1300 our number was 1 in about 25000! Amazing. Our results were just as fabulous for the spine disorders, such as spina bifida. That was pretty comforting to hear!

School is done until January! That goodness! The last couple weeks were rough! I ended up with two A's and a B. I can't complain about that, since I am one busy person!

Other than that Brad and I are just enjoying my school break together, getting ready for Christmas, our wedding, and the baby!!!

18 Weeks

Yesterday marked week 18, and  I am finally starting to feel the baby move. However, the only reason I know it's the baby move is because people have told me it feels like fluttering, and that's what I am feeling. More so, though, I am feeling a lot of pain, because the baby has decided it's time for me to expand.

A week from today we will find out what we are having! We can't wait! The glucose test also came back normal, thank goodness!

The wedding planning is pretty well set in stone. Now I just have to get the invitations made and mailed. I am trying to get my homework done first, though. I just finished a 50 page team report and am now finishing up my 35 page individual paper. I can't wait to be done. December 12th is going to be a good day.

16 Weeks

With life being so busy, I am feeling like I need some way to communicate with my friends and family.

My first semester at PSU is well under way. There is still one month left, and I would love to say that it has flown by, but it really hasn't. It's been quite challenging and I can't wait to see the rewards.

Today marks 16 weeks pregnant. We finally have our ultrasound scheduled. December 8th at 9:00am we will find out the gender of the baby. We are so excited to be able to find out what we are having! Brad and I have a friendly bet. He says Boy, I say Girl. Whoever is wrong has to cook dinner three nights in a row and then clean up the kitchen afterward.

The wedding details are falling into place quite nicely. We are now set for January 28th. We are so excited for our wedding day. Plus, we cannot wait to see Lori, David, and all the family from Idaho.

Today I am off work early to take the fabulous glucose test. Wish me luck!
